Unit 1.2 Scriptwriting
Task 1:
NCS
It was Alexej's first day of NCS as he didn't go to the trip for the first week. It has been raining all morning and as Alexej's was about to bike to college for NCS, the rain started to get worse and worse.
Alexej: 'Why now!'
Ones he arrived into college, he locked up his bike and headed straight to student centre where the NCS meet up was located. Alexej was drenched. Even the coat he wore wasn't really a proper rain coat. Ones he made it into the student centre first thing he notices is the amount of new faces he has to cope with however he already knew some people so Alexej went towards the people he knew.
Alexej: 'You liking NCS so far then?'
His mate: 'Not really no.'
Alexej: 'Fair enough, I can tell by your face that you don't want to be here.'
Whilst Alexej finishes talking to his mate, he was then introduced to someone he never met. That person was Simon. Alexej thought at first he was Mexican but he was completely wrong as Simon was from Czech Republic.
Alexej: 'Are you Mexican?'
Simon: *Laughs* No I'm from Czech but you weren't the first person to mistake my nationality.'
Alexej also asked to why his arm was bandaged towards his shoulder.
Alexej: 'What happened to your arm?'
Simon: 'I managed to injure my arm whilst doing rock climbing in one of the activities in NCS.'
After they had their conversation with each other, everyone had to get ready to get into the group they were picked in as they had to walk to this area where they will be doing activities for today.
As all of the groups carried on walking to their destination, Alexej started to talk more with Simon throughout the walk.
As they arrived they all first of all walked up the stairs into a room and were greeted by the people who are doing the activities. Ones everyone settles in, they all had to create a name tag on their self's so that everyone knew what everyone's name were called. For instance Alexej created a chain type out of paper with his name on a small piece of paper whilst Simon created a 'Apple Watch' out of paper which didn't last.
Throughout out the day they were asked to go into groups to do a small podcast. Alexej was in fact with Simon in the same group and when their group were planning out what to do for their podcast, Simon and Alexej decided to land pencils in a vent. Alexej flips a pencil first try in the vent and then Simon accidentally snaps the pencil.
Alexej: 'What did you do...' *laughs*
Simon: ' I tried to kick the pencil out of the vent but instead I snapped the pencil in half '.
They were then asked to contribute to their rolls for instance Alexej was the timer but Simon didn't really have a proper role so he didn't do much either
After they had their activities Alexej and Simon were glad that it had finished as they both wanted to go home.
Alexej: 'It was nice meeting you, we shall speak more in our lessons.'
Simon: ' Nice speaking to you to as well, I shall see you in our lessons.'
Simon gets picked up by his mum and Alexej unlocks his bike and bikes back home in wet weather conditions.
Task 2:
The part where the characters are talking to each other are set in first person however the narrative parts are in third person describing the scene.
-Is a script written in past, present or future tense?
The script is written in the present tense for instance when Pratt says "It's a little embarrassing".
-On average, how much of the script is spent on action & slugline (description)? Answer as a percentage.
On average I would say 60% is action and 40% is description throughout the 10 pages.
List different things that were described or could be described in the "action" part of the script.
Smoke, Machine gun, Tony picks up an M-16 but is described as "burning hot", An RPG revealing its "pedigree".

Task 4:
These 3 pages are from an Iron Man script from 2007.
I have used annotations to show what parts of the script are being used.
They're colour co-ordinated as follows with additional brief descriptions:
Red boxes - slugline
-Green boxes - action
-Blue boxes - character
-Pink boxes - dialogue
-Black boxes - parentheticals
Slugline:
A slug line includes 3 parts:
(INT. or EXT) - This is to show if the shot its inside or outside.
(Place) - This is where the locations is being shot.
(Day or Night) - This is to show if the shot is taking place in daytime or night time.
Actions:
Actions are usually 60% of the script and it also showcases what the scene should look like in 4 line paragraphs.
Character:
The dialogue is 40% of the script and even though they are characters, all characters have to be unique.
Dialogue:
The dialogue are usually 40% of the script which tells what certain characters are saying.
Parentheticals:
This is used when a certain person (usually the narrator) wants to use someone else's voice for talking. This gives an extra minor detail for whoever is using them.
Example: Narrator (Rhodry's Voice) "December 7th, 1941. The day the world changed forever."
Task 5:

Task 6:
The changes I've made towards my script are as follows:
- I've added an adjective for this sentence: 'Alexej unlocks his heavy d-locks on his bike.'
- I've added short sentences through out most of the dialogue for instance: 'Why now!'
- I've added a metaphor in the script for instance: 'Alexej was drenched, he was as wet as a wet tissue dripping water constantly.'
- I've added a simile in the script for instance: 'It has been raining all morning like as if there was a hurricane.'
- I've added an adverb in the script for instance:'Alexej get's on his bike and starts to pedal carefully in the rain.'
Task 7:
- I've added age information in my script for instance: 'Everyone had to get ready to go to their group leaders that are around 23 or older years of age.'
- For conflict I've added a few more information for instance: 'They were then asked to contribute as the leader was getting angry with those two for not participating and started to argue about what they have to do for their rolls.'
Task 8:
For this task I've chosen where Thanos gets ambushed by the Marvel team at the beginning of the "Avengers: End Game" and to write my own personal script of the short few minute scene.
I didn't add the transitions at the end of this short scene but on their scripts they have.
I have added their superhero names as it is easier to memories their name.
Task 9:
